In Sydney it seems that our homes and backyards are getting smaller and smaller. Hence the reason why we have developed a range of wall plaques that take up no floor space and easily fit on a balcony, in a courtyard, or on your study/office wall. All plaques are able to be displayed both indoors and out. Each wall plaque has embedded within it, a metal hook to secure and will not separate from the concrete wall plaque itself.

Mayan Calendars
The Mayan Calendar has received a lot of hype in recent years with some using it to predict that the world as we know it would end in 2012. As it is, the world didn't end, however these beautiful pieces give us a glimpse into the history and philosophy of the ancient Mayan civilisation.
The Mayan long count calendar has 13 moons, months. It also has 360 days as opposed to the 365 days of the Gregorian calendar that we use today. The Mayan Calendar depicts the cyclical natural of time, with death and rebirth being a dominant theme. The Mayans believed that a previous 5 worlds or cycles had existed before their own. It was the ending of this cycle in December 2012 that lead people to believe the world would end, or at least that there would be some great shift in the world as we know it. |
